The Countdown Begins

Just days left in the internship.
Yet so much to do.

I know, I know, I didn't blog last night. But I wouldn't have had much to blog about anyways. My day was pretty boring, and even though the game I covered last night was exciting, when I got hope, I was just wiped out. So I didn't blog. Forgive me.
Anyways, I woke up today at around 10am, because the TepMom and I had made a plan to go shopping at Kohl's today.
OK, you can knock Kohl's all you want, but it's great value. And I'm a miser.
After showering and getting dressed, TepMom and I took off for Kohl's down the road at about 11am. They were having a pretty decent sale, and I wanted to get a few things.
An hour and $45 later, I had a new pair of basketball shorts (reversible!), two towels and a short-sleeved knock-off Under Armour shirt. Oh, and socks. Not bad, if you ask me.
I came home and settled in for a nice day of college football viewing. My only real other accomplishment for the day was to go give the Baron a bath, spending a whole $1.50 to wash my car. Outside of that, it was just college football all day.
Oh, except for watching "Animal House" with my dad during the Kansas game. That movie never gets old.
At around 4:30pm, I got a call from Greg Riddle, one of the editors up at TDMN. He asked me if I could cover the Richardson Pearce-Mesquite Poteet game on Thursday night, and the West Mesquite-Highland Park game on Friday night.
I said sure.
And that's when it really hit me, the whole finality of this situation. I've got six more days with the Morning News, and then the internship I was so excited about will be over.
That's not to say that I haven't enjoyed it. I've enjoyed the hell out of it. But does it ever seem like the things you are most excited for seem to fly by the fastest?
Anyways, I watched Mizzou dismantle a helpless Colorado team on Fox Sports Net, ate barbecue sandwiches for dinner, talked to my wonderful girlfriend and now I'm writing this blog.

Day five is tomorrow.
The clock is ticking.
